Man this site is awesome!! So just let the engine spin over but not start to get the oil out of the pipes?

Yes - I don't think you will find this info or pics anywhere else, that's why so many of us have settled here and made new friends over the years

    Actually - No
I thought about it and the torque converter won't spin the box at idle.
Best to drop the sump and drain the radiator pipes, it's messy and you will need some big pans.

If the oil is really bad it would be better to re-assemble and put only 1l in, run it at revs in N for a minute or two and drain it again, that should remove most of the old oil which will contaminate the new oil pretty quickly

So drain, 1 liter, rev in neutral, and drain again?

no. i think he means add 1 liter EXTRA first.

and i don't think he meant rev as well, he said "at revs" which i can only think of as idling?

Put in 1l, in neutral rev her to 1500 for 1min and drain again, the oil should then be red

I had no idea there was a differential! Now I just have to change it's fluid out too. :p
is there any special type of fluid that goes back into it?
Also this might seem kind of dumb, but where would it be located at on an '88 3sfe/auto?

I'm still trying to find the location of the Diff. I know my car is really dirty under the engine/transmission, but am still at a loss to where it is. :p

directly right behind the transmission a little bit to the left hand side. you'll see that it has ribbed casing
