So I'm on my way to work today....and I'm drivin along dee dee dee (my car makes that sound because my front driver side bearing is fucked)...then all of a sudden my engine loses power and my shifter becomes loose!!

I'm like...oh wow! My linkage is fucked!

So I pull over...fuck around for about 30 minutes take the MAF and airbox out....the linkage had fallen off the tranny because my retarded ex-mechanic put a friggin paper clip where a cotter pin shoud've been...yay...so I re-used the paperclip because that's all I had and got on my way!

Sucked though...but it was good that I fixed it and drove away...

it actually came right off the rubber o-ring this time and the rubber part stayed on the tranny with the paper-clip-cotter-pin intact...

well it fell off the rubber piece...so i guess it's fucked not the pin...but the pin is easily replaceable

put a washer between the pin and rubber piece.

That'll work as a temp fix but it's not perma-fucked yet it only falls off when I shift hard......I need a new rubber piece....but good idea...

yay fell off again oh man...haha this time it was stuck in 3rd at least so I drove the fuckin thing all the way to my buddies garage which was about 10-20 minutes away....

I got a nice big washer and stuck that on there after it was all together, should hold up now I think......fuk sakes...

There is supposed to be an oversized washer that holds the cable/rubber peice together. Just get a washer and a real pin and you will have no problems from now on. Its stock supposed to be that way, the rubber is fine, it didnt break off or anything right?
