Well when i took my celi out for the first time in a month something bad happened, i smelled something burning just as i got down my street so i turned it around and brought it back to my house. When i opened my hood i immediatly noticed the belt tensioner pully had some how came apart and cut the belt verticly and knocked it halfway off the other pullys. Now after taking the alternator out and such i noticed something odd, now it looks like a piece of metal broke off but then it's smooth and not jagged. I was hoping someone could tell me if a piece broke off or if its suppose to be like this. Here are the pics o and one more thing, here is the tensioner pully and the bolt things, am i missing any nuts or washers? This is all i recovered and i walked down my street to try to find more but i couldn't
No there doesnt appear to be anything wrong with your bracket. Its a cast item so it may have just came out of the mold that way. As far as your pulley goes it looks like your missing the nut for the tensioner pully. I would check to make sure that it spins freely by holding on to where the bolt goes through. If not, replace it.
the pully itself is bad, i knew that because it doesn't glide, theres too much friction. O btw, WTB tensioner pully .
are u sure u have the necessary washers when bolting the assembly together? u should be able to tighetn and spin freely i know i dropped my assembly once and lost a washer then didnt notice it didnt spin then burnt a belt off haha
