anyone know which is the trigger for the lock button on the passenger side? I found the unlock drivers side but the lock doesn't work...passenger side is being a bitch
that the drivers lock button dies? I originally thought it was the button itself, but then when I probed all the wires trying to find lock it was not there...at least I can leave in a hurry!
OK i just fixed mine. you'll need to remove the door panel, then the lock switch. on the back of the black button you can remove the base of it. there are small parts in there so be careful. you'll need to clean the contacts with some sandpaper and reassemble the door.
I'm not so sure it's my button though. I'm not 100% sure how the locks are wired but I think theres a break in the wire somewhere outside the door, because when I was trying to find the trip wires I found the unlock no problem but not the lock. I went through every single wire and it would not pop. I think I'm gonna try finding and using the passenger side wiring once I get my swap done.
haha i have the same problem with my alarm, passengers side doesn't work for the keyless entry. Good info I will have to try it out. Damn Celicas!!!! j/k
^^^ my power door lock does the same thing on the passenger side. When I click to lock it it only goes halfway......unlock is fine. I've just lived with it....
it's annoying for me at times cause we have some sketchier areas in this town, but leaning wayyy over and locking the door isn't exactly stealthy...
