and guess what? they don't make anything for the first gen GTE engine. at least we can swap on the 2nd gen head and be happy go lucky with upgrades.
huh? so they make valves for the 1G 3SGE but not for the 1G 3SGTE? IIRC the 1G 3S heads all share the same valves - regardless of GE or GTE. TODA make valve train parts for the 1G 3S heads, $$$ ATS sells 264 regrinds for the 1G 3S heads 1SZ-FE shimless buckets are a straight drop into 1G 3S heads

me neither, apart from their website I have never found a online retailer that carries Toda products for the 3S
yeah, me too, st185 head with 2 gen 3sge intake cam, and maybe some ferrera 1MM oversized valves, afaik st185 valves are bigger that 165, to beggin with ? i cann not find my "slider measuring tool #"$$# " " to confirm that LOOL :cry: :?
its not a hks 272 but hey, a little bit of parts here, a little bit there, and the smyths of 3sgte will preveal once again... :twisted:
the 244 is better on the street anyway, it'll keep your power band in the mid-range where you will use it the most
272 intake and 264 exhaust for me, 2mm exhaust valves and 1mm intake. should be a lethal combo but i'll have a ton of research to do yet.
intake i'm looking at a GE manifold with larger custom made upper chamber. my ported manifold. and the innovative twin ball bearing turbo.
