Just lowered my car

So I just lowered my car two days ago, also the first lowered car Ive owned.
I used bg 1.6in lowering springs and kyb gr2s all around/ spc camber bolts to correct the front.

Now Ive learned alot, I SHOULDNT OF used gr2s on the front or at all, I will be converting to AgXs as early as next year, up front first. I guess now I understand, since lowering the car, you have less suspension travel, and your using a stock oem shock, which is not meant to be used like this. you need the adjustable performance shock to be able to control the rebound/compressing rate.

The ride is definitely firmer and you have to be more careful driving around, but the handling is alot better..Since I 90% commute on the freeway, This would be fine with me.

    My only complaints and problems
The front seems to bottom out more often, even on freeway speeds like 90mph and theres a dip in the road ---____---- . Is this because of the gr2 shocks? or just because it lowered and the way of life.

Also the front passenger side is rubs the inner fender under hard left , but the drivers side dosent under hard right.

Ill be honest, the front dosent have bump stops, my supplier was closed when I did the install, and I just though, what the hell. but Ill tear it open again if need be.

    suggestions and complaints welcomed!

Thats what my car use to be at. But where I live the bottoming out was tearing up my lip and was scratching my oil pan :/ So I put it back at stock height with AGX at the front and GR2 on the rear

haha in your head? You might want to get that looked at! If the roads arent too bad the lowering should be fine. AGX's are probably your best bet for the front. I know they can be modded for the rear but it would be a pain to adjust them on the coupe

agx in the front is awesome, i put everything from new bumpstops to sleeves and no rubbing.

also i have 195/55/15 tires...dunno how that helps...slightly narrower. i'm surprised that the gr-2s bottom out just cause it's lowered. are they defected?

i run the same b&g springs as you, ag-x up front, gr-2 rear, with bumpstops and all the little shit pieces. i run the agx at setting 1 on daily drives, setting 3 meets/cruises, setting 4 when i want to be an idiot. the gr-2s in the back seem to handle the job well regardless of what the front agx settings are because it's so light in the rear

there is a huge math equation showing that the stock style shock makes no sense in this car period. but aside from that they seem to work. the b+g springs drop the car very low. the same as intrax. i think that is why you are having all the problems. also look into doing the rear conversion to agx as well. it was hugely worth it.

also, get all new bump stops (they are universal) and cut them in half. forgetting to cut them is a bad thing. almost as bad as not having them.

I most definitely will take your advice.
, and on the rear bumps , I can cut those in the half, but the front ones are tiny, cut those in half as well?

haven't heard that before. what's the theory behind that? i'm assuming to provide some sort of bump stop but giving as much travel for the strut as possible?

lowering the car = reducing shock travel. these cars have near next to none already. you only want the bumpstop to be an inch or an inch and a half long. anything more and you'll hit them all the time.
    so yes.
