Just finished racing, found out the 3S-GE engine

    I was doing some kana-cross and blew a head gasket, got the 3rd best time for the day, out of all the veterans and professional racers, even know my car is un-modified. Celica's performance was amazing!

    They're not bad engines, mine is old and worn out but it still surprises me when I drive hard ;)

    Mine had done 300,000 before the head gasket :D

    Great motors!
    I don't know of any that don't have overheating, gasket, syncro, leaking seal issues after 20yrs of abuse

    i don't know if i'm lucky that i have a receipt for my motor for work done when it had 96k km back in 1994 for a head gasket job from a toyota dealership. i guess i can expect more mileage from my motor before it dies then?

    you guys do realize that the stock hg in our cars is a POS right? i wouldn't use that type of gasket on anything

    I did abuse it and race it, kanacross is like short course racing in the dirt

    well done on the kana man.what other cars were you up against?
    it sucks about the blown head gasket though hope you can get it sorted and if you want another spare engine you can have my old engine yes it also has a suspected blown gasket but it might come in handy for spares.

    how long do you think your car will be out of action?

    Up against weight reduced focus', Older celicas, magnas, suzukis and jap turbo cars, they all looked ma, but the celica is awesome with it's new decal kit!
