Now that I'm on a short vacation I've taken this time to spruce up the interior. First thing is the serious lack of interior lighting. As the weather clears up I'll continue to add lighting in various places around the interior. Here is a few teaser day time pictures.

so when do those come on?......ive always thought of adding one there but didnt want it to stay on with the headlights....people always grab the locker to open the door.

They are wired to the keyring dim circuit on its own relay. I've wired up those leds to the doors handles and the passenger footwells. They are subtle and very nice and turn off a few seconds after closing the door. Looks very sleek.

Sweet, ill probably be doing mine a little different, i plan on using the door so if the drivers door opens the drivers foot well lights up , same with the passengers side, but ill have it also wired so when the overhead light turns on they all turn on, what ya think?

Im also going to hide them behind the plastic were they wont be seen

I have them all wired to when the door opens, they all open. I currently still have only the drivers foot well and doors done. I'm still looking for a good place to put it on the passenger side as well as the underneath the seats for the rear passenger.

I'm also going to do the trunk space.

Defo the boot needs to be lit up. really do like this idea. Also want to put them in the glove box when it opens. But ill have an LDR so they dont come on when its day time.

    Gotta love LED's

They're a brilliant invention that's low powered with brightness and different colours and they last for eons whether it be your house, torch, car or whatever.

Led are good in our days I had a golf which had the same set-up too.But used normal 12v gloves and all where hidden under seats under the dash all worked with door switch I also might just go the same way again for the door handle's I would have cut a square hole used a reflector type of material like marker lamp.

Put in my first trunk LEDs.

They are on both sides and extremely bright. I've since rebuilt my privacy shelf as well and plan on integrating lighting into it tomorrow.

Are you using normal LEDs or diffused ones?
They look like the normal ones but you can never tell properly in photos.

Either way, great work! I've been wanting to do this for a while, but with flat top diffused LEDs in the boot mounted just under the top of the plastic trim so that they sit flush, hidden footwells, courtesy lighting on the underside of the doors, reversing lights etc..

been there. done that. i just bought white festoon bulbs, they have a blue tint while still being very bright.

I tried that as well and I decided I didn't care for the bluish look so I swapped everything out for a clean, bright white. A more modern appearance.
