Well i wrecked my 89 celica a couple weeks ago and this past wknd, i went on a 19hr round trip and bought a 88 Celica GT(bad motor) for $325! Now the engine is still running in my 89 and front end damage didnt make it to the engine. I like the paint on the 88 better however. So i was wondering if I could interchange the fenders, bumpers, and all other body panels(besides the top) from the 88 and put them on the 1989?? If I could, the 89 would be cheaper to fix(im still in high school so cheaper is better) if I could interchange parts. Please lmk, I am hoping I can so I can have one running one, but not sure yet what I will do with the other one yet though Thanks for the help in advance!:bowdown
Unless you're into cutting welding, the rear quarter panels don't swap. We're all REALLY REALLY experienced with how much things cost and how easy things can be disassembled/reassembled. It is always your choice, but you should post some pics of both cars so we can help you decide how to proceed.
And all im saying is bolt on stuff will change over...damn near all of it...there are a fewthings that wont but few. If it was a 86-87 then alot of stuff would still swap but alot more wouldnt.
