Hi guys does anyone know what the sizes for these different colored tops are(or does it go by the car?)

    1992 5sfe green top injector
    1990 4afe grey top injector
    1993 4afe(corolla) brown top injector

any help would be appreciated as i would like to run the most fuel effecient one of these.

here is a good website on this
    http://www.witchhunter.com/injectordata1.php4

save for i cant find any info on the brown top injector.

the stock 90st runs a grey top injector which is roughly 172cc's and i cannot find the info on the brown top injector cc's would going with a smaller than the 172cc injector net me more mpg? i know my performance will suffer in terms of speed but i want fuel economy out of this.

you really do not want to lean out the engine.

thats why i am looking for the optimal ones, i figure i could get away with a 10cc or so less injector, i definately dont want to go more...

then the other question is should i go for what is expected by the computer(in other words use my old grey top injectors) or should i stay with the brown tops?

as it stands right now at 140miles im above half tank(first full tank since i got it running) if it is a 10g tank than i am looking at least 30mpg right now.

14 gallon tank buddy. lol. and you should be getting 300-400 a tank.
intake and exhaust get better gas milage BTW.

first off its only still above half tank, i have not emptied the tank yet, so officially i will not know what it is until long after that.

second, im fully aware of what gets better gas mileage, that wasnt my question

third, it maybe a 14 gallon tank, but when the light came on and i filled it up, it took 10gallons(to me thats a 10 gallon tank)

mabye the convertables have different tanks?
you could drop your fuel pressure a couple pounds which (if the injectors still work) would drop you cc's.

and you'll never ever get the full amount in any tank if you go by the fuel gauge. the float does not go to the bottom of the tank. OE's do that on purpose so you don't run out of gas when the gauge hits E.

oh duh, i neglected to read that. my fault.
i would think that dropping in 160cc injectors would work but i'm still leary about what that will do to the pistons/rings.

its called reserve, and its any where from 2 to 4 gallons on the average car.

so right now with the "knowns" i filled up the tank it took 10 gallons

    10/4=2.5

140m/5=28mpg since i am at 140 and have not hit the middle of the tank yet on the fuel guage i am estimating between 30-35 right now.

i guess my main concern right now is figuring out what the brown top injectors are cc wise part number is 23250-16150 and i cannot find any flow info on that injector(which is from the 93 corolla 4afe that i am running in my 90st) i currently am using the brown top injectors and if they are 160-170 i will leave them in, if they are under or over that i will put my 90st grey top injectors in(which is what was stock)

man ur doing ur mileage ALLL WRONG

    fill up your tank
    hit your tripometer
drive to a quarter of a tank or so, the lesser the better for a better avg
    go get gas
write down how many gallons it took
write down how many miles you drove

    miles/gallons

    yay

actually thats exactly how i am doing it, save for filling up every 1/4 tank... that just makes for wrong math as the different quarters of the tank go faster or slower than others.

ne ways back to the subject of injector sizes and stuff...

all the info i could find on the 4afe in the 93+ cars says its 101hp doing a injector calculator i get.

101x.50/4x.80= 50.5/3.2= 15.78x10.50= 165.69cc's per injector. so ideally for my application i need at minimum 165's.

if u read what i wrote it technically doesnt matter when u fill up with how i wrote it cause u see how many gallons did u empty(using what the pump says) and how many miles you went....
