So I left to take the wife to work and came back to find my car gone. Called the police to find they had taken it becouse my tags expired a week ago....now its gonna cost me near 800 just to get it out...WTF.....
i thought they had to leave notice or something, thats the way it is up here, they leave a stuck on green sticker and tell you that 24 hours they'll tow
Registration. I just paid mine (2 weeks overdue). Of course though I wasn't driving it during that time because it was dead and under repairs
i'm not sure if that's a bad thing...over here if you're even one day late on registration, they pull you over, tow the car away, you pay a ticket and walk home by yourself. the day it expires is on the license plate so it's really asking for trouble to go beyond expiry
Hey $300... You must have been pretty late because here in Calif they have a 45 day grace period according to a notice from the DMV a while back. Vicdat
wth?! they can do that? when i first bought the celica, my tags were expired by like 2 months! dang...........that sucks
I would fight that shit!! Can they seriously take your car with expired tags when its parked in your drive way? I know of plenty of people with unregistered cars in cali. I dont know what goes on there............but hell iif I will ever find out lol.
