I was crusing around a few weeks ago around 10pm With the top down. I noticed how damn dark it was in my Car ar night. I couldnt see my window switches well barely.
Also as i was removing some boxes from storage to the New garage. i stumbled upon my box of Camaro acessories. So i decided to Install them as well.

SO i had an idea to fix the Darkness
I installed 7 LED's, 2 9 inch Ultra thin strips, 1 Radio Bar( least favorite but GF most favorite).

I still have 2 3in ultra thin strips and 1 Lep POD to install. Don know where but i know the trunk needs light. LOL..

Here is how i installed it all.

I think i am going to install the 3in ultra thin strips in the door pockets to illuminate them. And the Pod may go to the trunk and illuminate when trunk is lifted via mercury switch.

  3. Can't wait to see a couple more pics. I must admit, I'm taking an electronics course now, and couldn't really follow how you did it. My fault, not yours, but i wish I could understand wiring better... oh well, i'll learn.

Well i'll tell you this bro.. Wiring is a mental thing Lay out in your mind what you want to install. Draw on a sheet of paper how you want to run the wires this simplifies the wiring and eliminates confusion.

The main and most difficult thing is a constant power source and a switched power source.

I advise against constant power sources mainly becasue if you leave a switch on night your battery could be dead. All these item turn off when the key is removed. easiest place to fine that is behind the radio head unit. Install a constant power source to a relay and add a power distribution

Honestly sit back and visualize where you want the wires to go.

I can help you if you need me to as muhc as i can online. I need to write more write ups.

That's a great idea, I've always found the interiors to be very dark also.
