    you dont need to redo it all...just make the right side line a little shorter....

    ya i tried that but then the line looked too short on the other side so i cut into the left side another 1/4 inch..looks jiggy now.I'm gonna cut it with a diamond tip rotary at work tomorrow and grab some fiberglass at walmart on the way home.Pics will be up ;)

    get bondo too :D

    and possibly some spot glaze if you want it to be really smooth....

    I haven't check yet but doesn't the top part come off the rest of the ass. and if it does y not make the whole top part instead out of the longstrand FG (fiberglass). FG sometimes seperates from the metel when it's to thick and tends to crack.

    It does separate but doing a complete cutom top would be too much work.The stuff i got from my new job will not crack or crack up..We use it on repair of boats..It is hard like concrete and from what my co-employees say..All the customers that have used it say that they love it.It is like a part jb weld [hardness] plus a super glue [very strong] plus bondo very easy to work with/sand]

    BTW: It is a chopped glass / FG type of resin

    i can get specifics on it tomorrow..the tube they gave me was one of 12 and they had blank "not for resale" covers

    Fiberglass won't usually crack if it's done right....as long as you don't hit anything with it....

    do it right, get a prefabbed scoop or cut fold and weld in metal tabs.

    Are you trying to make an upward scoop, or a downward scoop? Upward would look silly IMHO, but would be easy to conform to the odd shape. Downward would be near impossible to do in steel, as it's a really complex compound curve along the front edge. I also think it wouldn't look right unless you did follow that front edge.

    -It is going to look like the vent in the cardomain page i posted eariler except that mine will be bigger.

    -yes im going to follow the lines

    -the stuff from my work is called "Hot Putty" ..But it isnt sold in stores or the net at all.i asked my boss about it and he said that it is a MI [where i work] exclusive and that it cant be bought and is made in the plant behind us..so i dont know how to explain it..It smells kinda like bondo but gets much harder and sticks like nothing else.I worked with it today.. it might as well be a liquid weld.

    -i havent gotten to cutting it yet..im a lil sick and im havin some drama at home so..maybe next week i'll have some want to get up & do it.
