I started having a wierd thing happen this week. For the lack of a better word, I'll use "jerking" when I'm coasting down hill in gear unless I give it some pedal. I figure it's either bad gas and/or injectors need cleaning, fuel filter/fuel pump, or ? Any thoughts? I'm going to  if I have to drive the Honda the rest of the summer and fall.

I have this same problem on level ground and going up hills when my engine isn't warmed up. I think it's fuel injectors/filter, but could be wrong. It happens when I hit the gas too, but again, only when it isn't warmed up. There's a lot wrong with my car though, so it could be anything.

I think the injectors need cleaning. Anyone have suggestions on cleaning products?

I used some of that STP fuel injector cleaner. It helped a little bit. Probably did more harm than good.

STP is a good cleaning item, also check your intake tubing for cracks and such.

Good, so no extra damage. I can't remember any cracks in the intake tubing. Would it hurt to run another bottle through?

you may want to go get 3M throttle cleaner and spray your throttle plate and intake with it

Thanks, hahaha yeah, I don't see any cracks, but since I have that temp fix coupler on my broken hose there I figured eventually something was going to act flakey. I need that hose I suspect and/ or an injector cleaning. I have your info, Paypal $ transfer in progress.

Thanks bro, I owe you bigtime. If there's anything I can help 'ya with let me know. Seriously. :D

The throttle plate is the butterfly in the throttle body. Follow your Intake Tubing up to where it meets the intake manifold.

first, undo the piping to the throttle body, and stick ya finger or somthing white, like a t shirt in and whipe it round. See how black it is? Get throttle body/carby cleaner. Follow instructions on da can. I did mine, ya wouldn't believe the shite in there, even after a couple of months.

Thanks everyone. Just so everyone knows, I only put prem gas in the car. I grabbed the injector cleaning additive today. Drove around alittle today, and it's about the same. Maybe it needs some more time to do it's thing. In the meantime, I might as well clean out the TB too.

    Might be something else then....

Almost sounds like a fuel pressure problem but what do I know...haha....

I was thinking fuel pump. However, I've never replaced a fuel pump in any car I've had so, I really don't know how this car would act if the FP was going.

at least the fuel pumps are easy to get at on our cars

there's a way to test fuel pressure at your rail as well somehow....

Found out tonight that I have a bad plug wire. Hopefully, I'll get my hands on new wires this week.
