Hey guys haven't been on here in a while.

I just finished putting the car back together today after replacing the headgasket on my 3SFE, and when I came to start her up, she hesitated for a bit, then started running. But at +3000 RPM. I checked my vac lines an hoses, and I BELIEVE they are at the right places. I'm pretty sure my lines to the EGR/Actuator are hooked up correctly. And my large Vac hoses at the left side of Int. Manifold are correct. I'm just not sure about the smaller hoses nearby. Every time I start it rises to about 3500 RPM, and it just stays there. No surging. I'm confused.. If anyone has any insight on this please do tell. :banghead

BTW I have to crank the car twice before it hesitates and starts. :?
    Thanks.

    High Idle

    Hi James,

Mine did a similar thing after I did my HG (3SGE)...I had two small vac hoses switched by mistake. They went from the intake to a small switch located on the firewall up by the wiper motor (I think that they attach to a switch that has to do with the air conditioning).
Once I changed them the car ran normal.
