Not much other than lighten your load.

    Remove the spare tire...back seats...etc...

do you have headers? if not check out the obx ones on ebay. 175 for the headers and clamp. you need the exhaust gasket but that is like 15 more dollars. not bad for an extra gain under 200 bux. i can provide a link if you want.

  4. Sounds like a header will help a bit. Ive only got a stock one right now.
I could lighten it up as well.
    Thanks for the tip man

Ok let me be realistsic if anyone else wont. I know cars i had dozens..

the 4th gen celica from what i have expeirenced is a car to style in and be proud you have a clean retro whip. They do make statements just not blow your doors off sleeper statements. Honda's have made those sleeper reality possible thru the fact that the availablity of the civic are everywhere. In Junkyard you will see 10 civics to 1 celica. And the 15 celica's to 1 all trac. Toyota is a relaiable car good for tons of miles of trouble free crusing.
With that said you can still get power out of anything it just cost more with some engines.

If your looking for a car that will compete with some of the A.P.U(Advanced Performance Upgrades) Civic's look elsewhere. Or into the creative technology of the newer toyota, scion engines and swap one in. you'll spend twice as much cash as you would in any other car to compete. And still lose. Un less you one of the lucky few to have been blessed with a hand me down all trac. I dont think people here have realized the potential of those cars.

Nothing against Celica's I love em.

Me persoanlly i love my celica nothing like crusing top down.

haha nothing like a big blk police officer in a little blk car.

Then watch the civics go backwards... most of em any way, some supercharger conversions over here are running into the 10s  bet they are even faster over in the US!

celicas were never made to go fast. they were meant to handle.

And for a blend of economy/sporty thats FWD for bad weather areas. But tell me, what fun is a car that WASN'T designed to corner and handle well? As much fun as train if you ask me...

independent rear + drive shaft + rear differential = All Trac = super awesome

You can't beat 4 wheel independant suspension for handling unless you make it all wheel drive with independant suspension
