They come on when you put on the rear defrost. I dont think all models had them though. It might have been a GT-S only option.

I never noticed mine either... I think a rear wiper woulda helped me out more in the winter!

hahah, awesome! That'll help out a lot on cold mornings this winter. I'd prefer to not drive my Celi at all in the winter, but there is no way I can afford a second car.

    oh come on.
    1. Buy a 82-86 tercel for $300-$500 and
    2. drive it all winter.
    3. wash it and vacuum it Sometimes I like to mask off the bottom 4 or 5 inches and spray some rockerguard on there....it looks really sharp and covers most of the rust around the wheel wells
    4. sell it for $600 in the spring
    5. ???
    6. profit

Exactly wat i did this past winter, bought a 88 corolla wit 110,00 in mid December for $800, (which with my negociating skills was brought down from 1300), cleaned it tha hell up inside n out (washed car, painted rocker guard and 2 inches above doors to cover up visible rust <yet>, cleaned steelies, some tire shine, vaccummed, armor-all, replaced headlight bulbs with $7 white bulbs from ebay. Sold for $1350 in early April (again wit my negociation skills) Profit $550

The problem is that I don't have 400 for a K car. I don't even have enough to do the repairs I've been doing to my Celica. I owe my parents about 200+ at the moment. I'll just ride the bus in the winter.
