ITS A CAT FIGHT!!!!! lol -Dave can I/we ask who the boxes are for. maybe somebodys just forgoten? -just to throw my 2cents in, not that anyones asked. I think what Klues getting at is that near mint black leather interior is as rare as its gonna get, especially the seats. other than TTE mirror visors (.....WTF?). I think he' trying to keep them local since shipping will kill, and if the skins are stripped whoever buys them would likley need them replaced profesionally (imo), otherwise it will be just kinda ruining another set.....the rarest set possible. -if they were local id buy em for a good deal of $'s, but im more concerned about wieght, so my seats will go away as a whole. -I however wouldn't think that anyones time is so valuable that they can't just type NO in a response. -Also come on guys, lets clean up the language regardles of the strenght of our feelings. Lets keep the bar high!
i don't think it will be ruining the leather at all. install might be a bitch, but no pain no gain. it should be an install similar to the leather ones you can get on ebay for $560 tailored for our cars.
Reintsallation on to the foam and then on to frame isn't so much a bitch as it is time consuming. Patience is key. There are metal rings that have to be bent and mostly broken to remove the leather from the foam and frame. Since you can't source those anywhere (and they're hard to work with) I chose to use zip ties to put everything back together. Time consuming, but easy.
I did that as well with the zipties. Works perfectly ! If you have the leather of the seats, maybe you can add some extra foam is it tends to wear out after so many years
Who ever gets them should just get sip ties, they're way easier. Hell, even taking the metal rings off is a bitch! I'd hate to put them on!
let's say there's no one local...are you going to be willing to spend some time to take off the skins and ship those over to a buyer? personally, i'd pay for the time you spend to take them out...
guys I still have this stuff, if it doesn't get sold its going in the dump. Time to weight reduce my stash
Right, instead of asking people for pm's... throw out a price for the items stripped and without shipping costs. I personally am interested but have no clue what it costs...
i just saw this and i'm interested but apprehensive as to how much this should cost... just like lonewolf said, if you can post an asking price, then it will make it a lot easier for interested parties to decide... and pics would definitely help...
I guess I can ship everything except the big peices I really dont want to have to strip the seats down, but I guess I could do 150 for them stripped
