ST165-2765- i will know the shipping cost tommorow..sorry it took so long canada post just got off strike) entrax-do you mean the a/c motor in the dash? samjk911- do you want the armrest or the whole center consol?
i'm not sure, basically after the fan motor (beside the passenger side of the car), the air goes through behind the console box, then the next section has a flap that routes the air to the cabin of the car, or through the heater core first. looking for the motor for the flap..anyone else can explain this better? :S
This control motor is the one eNtraxGT88 wants its controls hot and cold. Red arrow points to the pivot point of the flap eNtraxGT88 is talking about. This control motor also moves the cable that goes out to the engine bay that turns on/off the flow of engine coolant into the heater core (yellow arrow) This is the other control motor it selects were air goes (windshield, dash vents, floor...). Red arrow points to the control motor and yellow arrows point to pivoting doors or control arms that go to pivoting doors
i still have the digital gauge cluster i just forgot that you wanted it. i go looking for the control motor once i get back
i already found a replacement one! but you should keep it for your spares. this usually breaks after the usual heat control problem happens (the cable that runs thru the firewall gets stuck)
Is there any way to get it unstuck? I have tried moving that thing and it won't budge. Seems like I'll break before it moves. Maybe I can loosen the screw that's holding it down?
that black clip to the left of the yellow arrow is the only thing holding down the cable. you have to press on the lever part of the black clip to have it come down. you don't need to unscrew anything to take out that cable on both ends. follow the other end of it into the engine bay, right by the firewall is the water routes for the heater. unhook that end of the cable too. so now you have both ends of the cable unhooked, you can pull one side of the cable, then pull on it from the other side. all while greasing the exposed side every time you pull the other side. i just continued going back and forth from one side of the cable to the other until the whole thing seemed lubed enough to hook back on. also i used pliers to start pulling when it was still stiff.
