Shaved handles are great- Im just really not sure about the Battery/Charging system on our cars id hate to have my girl stuck in the rain!
when u remove those side strips (in real life ) do they just come off ? or is the metal underneat all weird (like is it just glued onto the paint or is it cut into the metal etcetc ) cuz this would be a good mod for a smoother look indeed 8)
I like how it looks w/out the strips, but they've saved me a couple times since a few stupid people in grocery store parking lots aparently don't know how to control shopping carts  I'd probabaly have at least 3 dings in my doors if it wasn't for those strips. -K
I think they would look funny gone if the front strips are still there. as far as shaved handles you install an emergency lever to get in in most cases.
I'm surprised anyone with shaved moulding doesn't have 50 millon door dings...I know my moulding is actually chipped where doors have hit it and if it wasnt there my doors would look like a dimpled cellulite ass.
Well since the moulding has been on there for the better part of 20 years....it doesn't come off very easily...or very nicely. You could probably get away with it without pulling paint with it but it would be very tedious. I wasn't worried about nicks and scratches cuz I was painting anyways. I pulled mine off with a heat gun and it left most of the glue on the car then I used a product called super-de-gooper.....and a razor blade. But it was hell. And I had an insurance claim once and a shop resprayed the whole side of the car....or so I thought but they used the moulding as the reference line so once I pulled it off you could clearly see the difference...and not to mention that the paint underneath the moulding has not faded at all and all your other paint has been under the sun for 20 years So pretty much you are going to see a line unless you repaint the car
Mine had heaps of rust under the rubber strips! Only rust I could find on the whole car. Just soak the d/sided tape with turps a couple of times and you won't need to scratch your paint with a razor blade! Leave it to soak in for 15min at least, I suspect you bought the expensive version of mineral Turpentine.
