Prettu sure its just to the left of the steering wheel on a RHD car Ant. I happen to have a switch too, off a JDM 162 GTR, same switch im pretty sure. If you want it, I should be able to organise something...
I thought that was where it went. I also thought youed have a photo of it, lol. Thanks. Dan, how much do you want for the switch? Want one to make fitting my ST165 foggies easier.
Ant, Il try and remember to dig it out in the morning, looks identical to St165's switch I think. Il get it out, check the cond and see if it fits in the hole. Im selling the car soon anyway, maybe Il get another 162, but in any case, I doubt Il need the switch. St165, can you post a pic of the back of the switch? It has 3 connecions, I think it illuminates? You can have it for whatever it costs to send Ant, hows that sound?
The switch I pictured above turns on these 2 lights only. I'll get a pic of the back of the switch tomorrow.
Switch is identical, except the symbol on it looks different, Should do same job though. Found out it turned on the rear foglight on a JDM 162 GTR apparently....Is mint tho! If you want it, il get the GF to organise to post it, I have no clue lol.
The one thing to note is that this switch as it was wired by Toyota will only send power to the foglights when the headlights are turned on. I wanted to use them as daytime running lights (a requirement for newer vehicles in Canada) but they don't work that way. So if you want to be able to turn foglights on but have headlights off you will have to modify the wiring.
Only headlights and I do believe it's only low beams. I do believe the fog lights turn off when you put highbeams on.
You would have to replace the 12 volts supplied to the switch from the headlight low beam and replace it with another 12 volt supply.
