anyone know if a convertible fender is different from a trunk or hatchback car??? or if 86-87 vs 88-89 are different either??? thanks
as far as i know all 86-89 fenders are the same except for the All Trac front fenders because of the side molding body parts on them
so just mounting to the body every fender is the same correct it is just the outside with the molding that make a fender different from one another but realisticly every fender will bolt to every car
does anyone know this for sure that had to change a fender, because i searched the national car part database and it asks if the fender is for a conv,lift or hatch, or alltrac (3 options)
as mentioned, yes, all fenders are the same. technically the alltrac one is also the same but there's holes drilled into them for the bodykit.
thats good will give more options guy at yard said he thought verts were differnet at the bottom of fender as long as i can still put the side skirt panel n mudflap on ill be happy
it is the side skirts that go over the latter part of the fender and the mudflap is a different shape due to the side skirt, but the fender itself is the same. this applies to the GT-four jdm/aus, GTS and convertible for USDM.
a real bummer is i checked everywhere within 150 miles even knocked at a random house that had the same color white talked to another yard recycler today they have 1 blue coupe/liftback fender, the guy said he thinks they got a convertible that wasnt entered in yet, hopefully gotta wait or other option is to buy a fender from states away shipped to me could possibley get a same color though
