fender trim

    im thinking about putting some black fender trim along the wheel wells. any ideas of how to do this? or where to get what i want?

    what like the black strip that goes down the back side of the doors?

    kinda like the trim that is on both sides of the car that runs along the whole bottom from front to back. but skinnier and more "fender"like.

    I know what you're talkin about....newer lexus' have that....

    I'm sure you can just buy some generic trim and just use self tapping screws or rivets to hold it in place...

    where would i get that "generic" trim? i dont think the nearest autozone would carry that lol.

    hard ware stores would have house trim. try a place like canadian tire, or wallmart they might carry some generic stuff.

    yeah i mean i might wanna invest in some spacers before i do anything dramatic to the wheel wells. they're already in need of spacers in the rear as you can probably tell.

    try ripping them off an older jetta

    they actually stick on with 2 sided tape on the lexus'.

    no they're on with screw's on lexus's...

    I'm talkin about the black trim, not flare, on 2000+ lexus's...

    yeah i know what your talking about rye. but about an older jetta... i would have to get so freakin lucky if they were to fit.

    I was just replyin' to mafix sayin it's double sided tape...last week I did some dent repair on a lexus and it had some small black plastic trim screwed into all 4 wheel well's not on the outside of the car but kinda underneathish....

    oh sorry rye. i got my people mixed up. but yeah that trim might be something i'll look into in the future.

    Just grab some random shit from the wrecker's and see what fit's best, then just fiberglass if you need to fill in any holes!

    Dig through the mcmaster-carr online catalog. I'll bet you they have a thick foam rubber you could use. (they sell it in different hardnesses and sizes, an unimaginable variety)
