how to i hook up an electronic boost gauge? what are the pros and cons if any of an electric over a mechanical?
sorry can't help with you out with the hooking up of the gauge, but from what i have seen on my friends mr2, you want to go with an electronic gauge. much easier to manage and monitor. the manual, from what i have seen, can be a pest at times, especially if you like to goof with boost. but you don't have to wire anything into the car. there are definitely pros and cons to each. good luck. i hope someone can be more helpful than myself.
you want a mechanical for boost. much easier to read and more accurate. to hook up the electrical ones they come with a harness and a map sensor.
ya i figured the electronic ones were kinda slow and innacurate anyways. Im gonna buy a really nice boost gauge one of these days. ive got kinda crappy one right now, its noisy (makes a whirring noise)
i can sell you mine. i need to order another one. this one doesn't go high enough in boost for the new motor
out of the subj. question, where do u guys mount the boost gauge if u dun plan on punching a hole? or is there even a way? and mafix, can i see urs? i plan on having one but im still researching how to install it and where. i always want to have the option to bring it back to all stock as much as possible. maybe a pillar pod?? any suggestions?
