Is it the coolant neck running out of the head?

My guess is that you popped a freeze plug or if your car was fitted with a block heater, check it. I was driving home one night and the same thing happened to me. The back-facing core plug where the block heater was fitted popped out and dumped all my coolant.

see i am not sure it was too hot to go under the car and coolent was still pooring out so i am waitting till tomarrow. it is a 88 st165but is it a simple fix if it is the plug cause i have to move out before the 15 and leave home on the 23. suck so i might have to sell my baby or trade her which I dont want but is my next option if i cant fix her in time. :(

IF it's the back side freeze plug you can reach it by removing the suspension cross member. It's still awkward, but I did it, so you'll be fine too. Use a rubber expansion plug, it's much easier b/c it's next to impossible to hammer another core plug in that confined space - they initially put them in with the engine out of the car. Let me know if it is the problem, and I'll get you the plug diameter size.

How far do you have to take it? you may be able to find a company that will tow it for a reasonable price.

I know when i was looking into transporting mine i found a comapny that charged $280 to tow it 600km.

Metal head gaskets suck?? why, using the st205 head gasket for about £40, works fine for most, unless they spend the money on the TTE / TRD ones.

Only place I know that does copper ones if for cosworths.

thats fine as long as copper is stronger then the other head gasket. cause i don't hear to many good things about metal hg and me myself don't like the oem ones.
