cold air box (with battery stl in front)

    hey , has anyone manged to make a cold air box with the battery still in front if the air filter?

    I've never seen it, but I'm sure it's doable. It would take a lot of thinking, and a lot of serious fabricational skills. If you made the box small enough to fit there, but enough room for it to breath, I bet you could get away with it... It would have to be really compact though.

    hmm yeah but then when i do thnk about it i dont think it will fit stupid battery had to be in front of it ! blocking the air flow , i might do the grill mod and possibly do the battery mod so i can try make a air box , tho it wont be out of fibreglass as i dont have a clue about it , but possibly metal , but ill just bolt it in somehow so i can get away with it at wof test stations because its not welded to the body so it isnt apart of the car and doesnt require a cert card :D

    Make it out of aluminum. It's cheap, and keeps the heat out pretty well. If you don't know how to weld aluminum, just cut your pieces, and have a local welder weld it up for you. Shouldn't cost more than 20 bucks. ;)

    yeah im gonna try design one soon , tho i am doing the battery mod to the back because of the lack of air that can get past it ! ,
    i took off my grill to paint(with same color as my car body paint thanks autobodyshop),
    so am looking for where air go can straight through at the mo
