okay so i finished putting my engine back together after redoing the head gasket.

Got it all ready about 30 minutes ago

Jumped into the car turned the key and....

The engine wouldn't turn over =( It was trying its hardest but just wouldn't happen.

I'm going to look up the engine code paper clip thing, and try that in the morning. But i was hoping someone might have some ideas on what the problem could be for me to think over tonight

    /wrists

    thanks guys

You should be spinning it first without plugs and the dizzy disconnected (unplug) to see
if there's oil pressure 1st - never start a motor with air in the oil

    Check your cam timing again
Is it not spinning with the plugs out?
Did you connect battery earth to one of the starter mount bolts?
Is your positive battery connection nice & tight on the starter & battery?
I don't think codes apply to the starter?

I am not sure what the following are

    IGN sw

i know this!! its a small wire on your intake manifold just behind the 1st injector! car wont run right and will stop and splutter if its not tight!

Thats possible if the gasket has just been replaced but it won't affect the starter

Well I am going to pull off the Cylender Head cover, reinstall the Cams and Timming belt, redo the Valve timing, i was a little rushed before, and i am not 100% confident that i had the timing set up properly the first time.

I'll check the wire you mentioned Seank90, its the one to the Fuel Pressure VSV right?

Sad thing is I wont be abel to do the Valve timing for a couple weeks =(. I'll have to pretend my GTS is a AllTrac for now

nope! its the one to the ecu , its a white cable that has to be bolted with a 10mm bolt to the intake!
