I've tried all my local auto stores, plus a specialized auto electric store, plus two specialty stores in So-Cal. No one has the injector clip for my stock 88GTS injectors. Problem seems to be that they are round/oval and most aftermarket are square. Has anyone replaced their stock 88-89 GTS injector clips? If so, where'd you find the parts? Thanks.
You'd think. But I've struck out everywhere I've checked. Can you give me an URL to a site you know has them? Sorry to be so lame and un-self-sufficient, but I really did make a lot of phone calls and web searches and came up empty. Closest I got was Blitz Performance down in So-Cal who said that matching stock oval injectors is next to impossible. I offered to send them an injector and they'd try and match it, but I'd rather not run the risk of losing a newly rebuilt injector between No-Cal and So-Cal. Thanks.
Completely struck out on 88GTS injector clips. However, I found a set off a '96 Camry that fits (and hopefully other Gen 3 Camry model years fit, too). Just FYI for anyone else w/ 88-89 Celica GTS injector clip issues. It's only the 88-89 injectors. The 86-87 GTS injectors are the more common square plug. Why the hell they changed to a round plug for just two years.....
