went to do a burnout dropped it at 4-5k, only ever did this a couple of times, and i smoked the clutch into a cloud, always worked great before too, stupid thing is that the clutch only has 13k on it, car still drives fine wouldnt even kno it happened, but still makes me nervous now that have to watch how i drive it for now....:banghead the flywheel looked like new too the last time it was apart, o and its a napa one higher then cheapest clutches

Deja vu, someone else here did some damage to their car a while back doing a burnout... Guess these things really aren't made for skids, lol....

Sometimes clutches will come good by themselves if you're gentle with it for a while..

I agree, plus if you know you occasionally want to do a burnout, invest your money in a good clutch when it's ready for replacement ;)

shoulda read my burn out thread and save the trouble, i snapped my axle and made my clutch very unhappy actually i still need a clutch fwd burnouts suck anyway i was just having alittle fun like im sure you were but its not worth it take it on some curvy roads or flat dirt trails are fun. not mud! and no low profile tires.

    .
    atleast till those go wrong.

LOL! Sorry to hear about your damage. Get a Centerforce Dual-Friction clutch, and make sure you have no leaks at the rear main seal. If it hasn't been replaced in a while, good idea to do it when you replace the clutch. An oil leak would cause a clutch to fail pretty quickly.

    Here's mine!

If it is your daily driver, DON'T do more burnouts! Even a really worn clutch can last a long time if babied. I am from Hamden, but have lived in Wallingford for the last 8 1/2 years.

p.s.- I also have a ridiculously modified Celica, and it is set-up for drag racing. (for now) I also have a Kaaz LSD in it.
