The Black Shelf was broken into the other night... The culprates jammed something into my keyhole on the driver side of the car and opened the door that way (my door handle is mangled), popped the trunk and jacked my two 12" Clarion subs that were chained down using a thick "cable like" chain through the body of the Celica (Apparently this isn't covered by ICBC because it wasn't "permanently attached", that's a long story). The damage to the door is about $700.00 worth. With my deductible it's hardly worth it repairing... but at least I'll be able to lock her up at night again I'm in the market for a car alarm, tinted windows, and a friggin' insane way of bolting my future sub box down now... It's my own damn fault for now having a car alarm. But get this... they didn't even touch my CD Player, even the faceplate was left on... though it looked like they were trying to take the center console apart... and failed lol... Hell I failed at that the first time I tried... Had to look in the Celica Manual haha... Anyone else have a break-in experience lately? Or an ICBC claim for your Vehicle? Post it up /hug
not a recent one, but back when i had my cressida, oh man. some bad ass dudes around here. actually busted the quarter glass on the passenger side to get in. took my 1990 year cd player. cool beans to you if you can even recycle that thing you jerks. most valuable thing about i was the waynes world cd in there. then a few months down the line they came back i assume and popped the lock on the passenger door to steal my tape player that i had put in there along with my bgb for the car. they mangled the glove box. it was locker, but a lot of good that did. they were so rude that they left the door open and drained the battery. i thought that there is supposed to be an honor amongst thieves....guess not. anyways i feel your pain man. i would just keep a low profile now and not bump too loud if possible.
Thieves stole the CD player outta my 89GTS. Broke the center console but at least they were skillful enough to get in without damaging the door lock. ICBC deductible was $300, not worth it, so I replaced everything myself for $100 - used console and ebay parts. Would be thieves also wrecked the lock on my 86GTS but I managed to fix it myself at no cost.
i had 5K worth of stuff stolen out of my 87gt. it sucks. i did get your message on msn but for some reason i can't reply?
