So my week was going great untill i walked out side and tried to start tracy. Dam started went out on. I just drove her home last night with no issue of starting what so ever. Mainly this is frustrating due to timing as this weekend is my anniversary and now i cant run the errands i needed to today! Hopefully ill get the part i need and get it installed and have tracy up and running before then. Wish me luck.
eek. Good luck with getting it fixed ASAP. Back when my car had starting problems, I'd always try to park on an incline so that I could push start it by myself in reverse. Also, I had this wire sticking out next to the battery (the mechanic did that when my dad had it) that I would connect to one of the contacts of the battery to start the car up if I didn't feel like push starting it. Not sure if those tips are the best, or if you already knew about them, but hope they help!
Ive never heard of the starter relay mod. id love to know more about it. Im gonna take my starter out tomorrow and have it tested and then buy a new one or a rebuild kit if need be.
More than likely ur starter will test out fine....a lot of our cars have this problem....did it click or whine at u when u tried to start her......if u need help with the relay just give me ur number and ill text u some pics of the relay process or something llike that....I did it in flatliner and she hasn't done the click since....lmk
what others have said. viewtopic.php?f=48&t=236 i had no start every single morning (or any time the engine was cold) about a month after owning my celi, it took about 5mins of trying to start the car to get it going. didn't take out the starter, did that relay mod, took about an hour. has always started strong ever since every single time throughout the winter (hitting -10c) i say do the mod first before taking out the starter.
