When you guys go with the bigger exhaust pipe, do you still use a flex pipe like the one that comes stock on our car?

When I pulled the motor and tranny out to have the LSD installed, I looked at the exhaust I had done and it is the biggest pos I have seen. Right now, I want to take the pipe down to the guy that did it and beat the sh1t out of him with it. But I need the pipe for now, so I reinstalled it. I want to have a new one made soon becuase the pipe I have now is so restrictive. I am using the stock Celica flex pipe, but I think it is too small for what I have, so I was curious if anyone uses it when they install bigger exhaust.

There was a restriction in my exhaust on the outside of the flex pipe that reduced the exhuast size to about 1 1/2". I openned it up as much as possible without cutting it up, but it's still too restrictive. I wander how well this thing will run with a good exhaust? It seems fast as sh1t now.

I got a 2inch flex, I cut my stock exhaust after the o2 sensor and clamped the larger flex pipe overtop, then the flex goes straight to the 2inch cat

I have the stock flex pipe with my 2 1/4 inch cat-back exhaust. But i am replacing it very soon.

Where did you get the flex? I'll check around online.

I found a 6" long flex on Summit Racing for $39. I'll order that and get ready for some exhaust work. Thanks!
