Gday, Im in Australia (if you didnt pick that) Looking for a red top, sick of waiting around but i feel there may be better places than Ebay to look. Theyre either in canada or cost 3-4k, neither seems acceptable. Where else is a good place to find one? I need engine, loom, ecu and trans. Do i look for half cuts? MR2s? Altezzas? Does someone here have one they are selling? Any help greatly appreciated, my poor car has been off the road for over a year -_- Cheers, Alex
In case you have a friend in japan, ask him to look around there on auction sites. I got mine from there, but it was arranged by a company from my country.
Gday mate Try the local engine importers, plenty being shipped into NZ and OZ. If you fail to find any I suggest looking on Trademe.co.nz - they are common on there and sending one to OZ wouldn't be a hassle.
Cheers guys. Yep, if i can get one closer to home that would be spot on. Just got a pm back from a Hong Kong ebay engine, 550 freight. Plus whatever customs charges there might be, and no warranty on that.. Ive found out theres a 'friend of a friend' who is in trd who builds some track celicas, might see what i can find out through there too. I dont have anyone actually in japan, not that id trust to find a good engine anyway, ill look into importers though. Then theres getting it in my car.. More research is needed! Thanks!
