i have a brand new set of 4 NGK Laser Platinum Premium plugs that i might replace my standard Denso type ones with(though theyre pretty new). The code is BKR6EP-8, (stock no.2215) on the label...Apparently theyre ok for 3SGTE?Will they be suitable for my 87 162 3SGE,also will they be gapped correctly from the box...Thanks guys. :fingersx

3SGE plugs are not the same as 3SGTE plugs, so I wouldn't use those.
Always check the gaps before installing new plugs.

From the 1987 factory manual I've got these numbers:

    3SGE:
    ND: PQ16R
    NGK: BCPR5EP11
Gap: 1.1 mm or 0.043" inches

    ----------------------------
    1988-'89 3SGTE specs for comparison:
    ND: PQ16R8
    NGK: BCPR5EP8
Gap: 0.8 mm or 0.031" inches
