Yeah well undid the 2 main bolts.. And atempted to pull and nothing. for 2 reasons Pass switch does the down only thing which ihear is very common amongst Toyotas and celicas so i need to replace it.. And i want to mod the door handles.. SO how do you acess the door handles and the switches.
Interior door handles? Believe you have to remove the door panel. completely. Should be more then two bolts, thats for sure. Take off all the plastic bolt covers, look under the doors armrest etc. Take out every screw (and don't lose them, obviously) And then lift the panel UP and then OUTWARDS. Careful though, you'll have wiring to disconnect for the power accessories, or which it sounds like you are trying to get to anyways. It shouldn't be very hard. exterior handle pulls OUT and to the Side as well...hmmm. Let me know if I'm understanding correctly?
yeah and theres bolts/ screws , what ever you want to call them , hidden in the map holder , you access them from the carpet side , so run your finger down the length of the carpet on the map holder , and on the way you will find little holes and precut holes for the screws to go down , also a screw hidden behind the little red light that lights up when your door is open
Yup got to remove the door panel. See following link to remove panel. Then you'll find about 6 screws holding the handle to the panel. Power Window & Power Lock Maintenance
Yeah that about sums her up.. Hopefully if the weather is nice I get this mod done. and so you all.. Also what about wiring for the switches ?
