ya, by a a bit, once you strip them down the hatch backs are more or less the same. and add th eweight of the new engine,.. unless it was a couple, i cant remember
Yes, it was 130 mph downhill. It was 125 coming across the rise and 130 on the downhill. My point wasn't the speed, but that I never hit a speed limiter. In my Camry, regardless of whether I'm going up, down, or on the flat, when I hit 114 mph I can feel the cut-out. I've never felt that in the GTS.
Well see I was right anyway you were going downhill, lol...I hit 120ish mph in my old 86 GT-S before the engine blew up....I'm not gonna risk doing that again probably ever unless I go to the drag strip because I like my $80 a month insurance
Why'd she blow? At 120, you outta be well below redline. Heck, at 130 I wasn't near redline (relatively speaking of course). You were in 5th....? Yeah, I enjoy my cheap insurance, too, but every once in a while, ya just gotta trust the radar detector and see what she'll do for ya. Plus, I'm on a completely rebuilt engine, so hopefully it'll hold
Ouch I saw some pics over on Celicatech of a recent gen4 vert that did the same - quite impressive hole those rods can make through solid cast iron.
