ok well whenever my suspension moves i get a rusty spring sound, happened with old struts/springs and as well with new ones. i can see the bearing parts of my mounts could tehy make this sound?
my suspension is squeaky too it could always just be worn or dried bushings or yeh rusty torsion from the coil springs?
Could be lot's of stuff, control arm's...anything really... especially on a 21 year old car... I bet mafix's car doesn't squeek haha
Not a fair comparison though. Mafix's car has all new suspension. Nothing left that is 20 years old. Youds, its time to start replacing bushings. Toyheadauto.com has all of them and the price isn't bad.
what would fubared strut mounts sound like i dont see how a bushing could make this kinda sound but some are definately worn, thanks
any comments on this? it got worse with the new springs (probably cause they move alot more) and i can see the bearing part of the bottom of the strut mount, this has to be it ;x w/e im gonna get some
oh and i of course put the front springs in upside down ahahahaha that may add to the noise hehe coulda looked at the rears before i put the fronts in, so the flat part goes up eh hahaha oh and im not really this bad with cars, i just rush when its my car and dont think about anything, other peoples cars i double check shit heh
my cars suspension squeaks like mad. This spring/summer though I'm dumping a bunch of money into one of my cars.

ok so i flipped the springs the right way, and put my stockers back on today. i had the car lifted up and pushed up the balljoint and it made the sound. and when i left off quickly it sounded exactly what it did when i go over bumps.... couldnt really tell where the sound was EXACTLY comoing from so i took off the strut housing and it still made the sound. and i pinpointed it to the control arm bushing to the back of the car. unless the inner tie rod would make this sound but that seems stupid haha. so i guess ill put some bushings in, will polyeurethane make it more uncomfortable then regular ones? i know mines shot now sop anything will be better.
yeah I have two Celicas, if my parents make me scrap the 4g the 5g gets new parts, if not then the 4g gets a motor and such. itès so horrible though I think itès worn out struts and such but I know thw rear end is flexing under hard cornering...ugh I need a bar back there.
