Hi its pretty straight forward with the right boss kit.
just take off the old wheel, bolt on the boss kit, plug in the horn and hex-key the new wheel on
haynes manual says 25 ft-lbs for the steering wheel nut

my old one - indicator switch-off ring didnt match the holes

New one - indicator holes had to be milled out to make it fit, couldnt find one exactly right

wheel mounts to it like this

had my isotta wheel for 6 years and its still great and not wearing out, cost a bit but ive had so much use from it.

the car came with a cheap knock off, when i cut the foam off it, 2 of the 3 metal arms had rusted off the wheel! very glad i found that when i did!

Like trel162 said It's pretty easy to install

I have a personal steering wheel and a momo steering wheel almost as long as I have the celica!

so basically the only thing that needs any work is the turn signal off......but basically like i thought....easy as pie.

I've never had problem with turn signal being always on,but my friend with the corolla have that problem,It depends of the boss kit brand I think!
But yes its easy as pie :mrgreen

i took the wheel off at the shop and took the indicator-off ring inside to match it and the dude machined it then and there. at least take a measurement with ya to make things easier!

couldnt you just manually switch your turn signals off?

Beautiful picture. I love those long exposure shots. :D

So you have to modify the hub thingy even if it's a universal quick release?

yep i did that for years, i got used to it but to pass inspection i had to put the original steering wheel on so they auto turned off.

I swapped my steering column for one with a working lock last year and decided to get the right boss kit at the same time. i guess if youre going to do it at all, do it right n make it work properly. My new ones an AutoTechnica im pretty sure, dunno what kits you can find locally, i did what i could with what they had

    hope you get it cranking

thai fighter - mines not quick release, dunno how they work, but there are many models to match your setup and the tiny bit of machining was free on mine.

-id personally only go MOMO. loads of options. been looking but i really dont like the look of the hub infront of the steering column plastics. i think ive decided that the factory leather wheel is actually pretty nice. much thicker than the non-leather, and a good diameter.

I have wanted a 1st generation Celica steering wheel on my car.  The later ones have four horn buttons on the sides.  I finally found a nice black one at the junkyard, but it has only two indicator cog pin holes.  I will have to do some drilling ..and see if the horn pin lines up with the metal wheel disc.

I really like the idea of hitting my Hella Supertone horns without my hands leaving the wheel.

Haha I forgot this thread even existed... lol

Anyways, I've been having trouble with my horn and turn signals. >_<

The wiring connection for the horn is constantly falling off on me, and this causes the turn signals to not turn off automatically. >_<
How do you guys get the wire to stay connected? What could I have done wrong?

    Thanks.

electrical tape might be the trick
my spade connector is already really tight, maybe pliers it a bit but make sure you can get it out for next time
