haha Steve  I actually used to have one of those. It ended up scratching my front bumper badly lol and leaving deep scars.
I really hate those thing... They are damn ugly and hide your car I think. If any dirt gets under it...it f*cks up your paint instead of protecting it. How about colour difference after using it for a year or so? I'd say..don't sell, burn hmm...guess I'm not really into those things hahahaha No offence to others using it of course.
lebra it is...craigslist is were i got it...brand new still in box....and yes if stuff gets under it , it will mess up your paint.......but thats why you take it off to wash....im only gonna run it during the winter due to the use sand here instead of ice salt.....so there alot of rocks thrown around.
You know there are those clear covers you can stick on your car. You may need a custom cut though lol as I see them on newers cars but not older, especially on ours.
I'd buy one if the price and timing was right :mrgreen Not a good time though, I still have to do the water pump on the GT-S before winter :sad5
yeah i know...its called a "clear bra"....duh.......and your talking at least 700 bucks...and i know this for a fact due to my sponsor does this for a living.
$700 huh? A bit EXPENSIVE. :shock . But is probably worth it in the long run. Imagine your whole car with it. Then you'd never have to worry about your paint as much as you do now.
the clear look will vanish in 2 years and then your whole car looks like shit . The only thing working is a lebra if you indeed have the rocks problem and take it off as much as possible
yep...and the clear last alot longer than 2 years..... i know an 81 Porsche that was done right off the show room floor......has over 200k on it and still looks showroom fresh.. the clear stuff will last a long time if not exposed to the sun day in day out but it will last at least ten or more years if applied correctly and your using the right brand.
I've seen those clear things turn brown. No matter how hard you scrub it just won't revert back to it's clear look.
-i know you can buy the 3m paint protection film at wesco, but cant remember the price. cant imagine its too much. -i do like the bra, but not super impresed with the fit.
well the fit isnt great due to i applied it in the cold....needs to be at least 70 to stretch correctly....it will be refitted sometime. and 3m clear bra film isnt cheap, trust me on that one.
