Hey guys, now that the trac is plated and on the road looks like i'll be keeping it as some of you may know i was considering selling but now that it's half decent it would be a shame to let it go. Here are some pics from when I bought it to today and how it's come along. What I've done: - rust removal - new rad, alt, headlight motors, door sills (courtesy of allblackalltrac, thanks danny) - removed the a/c - painted bumper inserts - fixed siezed passenger door - removed rusted/ugly stock fogs - a whole buncha other stuff i can't remember Current Mods: - Bosch H4 Headlights - OEM Toyota 16'' Celica GTS wheels - Panasonic HU Future Mods: - possibly a full paint job - install my intrax springs asap - cone filter + exhaust cut out - new fogs Enjoy, Shaun Day 1: Many days in between (winter sitting): Today:
sweet, glad to hear u are keeping it. its looking good thats for sure. how much did you pick up the rims for? ive been looking for a set for a price thats not out of this world so just curious what you paid (since your in the area and it would help me figure out what they go for here).
Thanks guys, your probably gonna be looking at around 500 with rubber, i got lucky and paid 350 with new rubber but he was asking 500 obo. There becoming more and more scarce I'm glad I grabbed mine when i did. Gl finding a set. If I could go back in time I'd probably think twice about getting them, although they look sweet there realllly heavy.
Yeah, the 7th Gen rims aren't as light as they look. IIRC, they're about 35 lbs w/rubber. Still the best bang for your buck though. I'm surprised you can't find some across the border; there always seems to be 7th Gen guys upgrading and selling off their stock OEMs.
Looking great, love the 7th gen wheels, they really look good on 4th gens. although I had no idea they were so heavy. As an aside, anybody else find the pic of the car without headlights creepy? I did...but I've been watching horror movies all day.
Thanks guys, 99% of the work was done by either me or my dad which helped to keep the project as cost efficient as possible. Will update as new mods are done.
To be honest I have no clue, I check it every now and again for moisture and have yet to see anything. It's garage kept so it doesn't really see much rain unless I have to leave it outside.
Yeah i think that was early monday morning on the 24 weekend so everyone was either sleeping or gone home
