I was told the fuelline runs through the crankcase, which is why the fuel smell in oil happens and the high pressure pump runs out. If I knew everything about this engine I wouldn't be asking. I know it's a good engine. Just almost as old as me. I love my car dont get me wrong. I just am trying to learn. I grew up with hillbillies and Ford's and box Chevys. So I'm seeking info. Don't take offense when my book shows. :)

You remind me of someone who fitted a 13B Rotary into a minivan, ran the fuel line along the exhaust and couldn't understand why it exploded at the lights and melted a huge hole in the road.
Whoever told you that stuff is having you on - you need better friends!

I'd suggest watching u-tube vids and reading books, the book that opened my eyes is called "Power Secrets" by Smokey Yunnick
