3SGE Beams engine in a Lexus IS300

I'd like to see one of these in a 162, the altezza's must be quicker than our IS though since the motor is a heck of a lot lighter than the 2j

def sweet motor, dont see that much here. most modified IS's here if they do a swap its to a 2jzgte.

 

Beams blacktop is a RWD motor, a redtop beams will go into a 162 no probs....

 

Yeah the first thing I thought of when I seen it was if I had the time it would look real nice in my 85 supra and I'd get the added bonus of a much newer 6 speed tranny.

The old supra 6 cylinder engine was rated at 170 hp and this 4 cylinder Beams engine is rated at 210 hp. Amazing a 40 hp gain 2 less cylinders and a big weight savings.[/quote:24ygv1g4]

have you done mods to your supra? llast i checked my cressi and the mk2 supra with 5mge only got 158 hp? i could be way off. or did you 7mge swap it? i know those got around 170. :duh:

 

HAHAH there is so much conflicting info out there. its funny. thats cool though. if you could put that motor in there. do you visit the celicasupra.com forums? i used to but not so much anymore since the cressi is gone. those guys are cool over there~
