hey im mechanically minded, but being a twin cam, efi, FWD etc etc i really need some help as 2 taking out a cylinder head. i need torque specs, steps, etc. Ive already removed head bolts, spark plugs, exhaust downpipe, and top timing belt cover i would like 2 no anything as wel as what i wrote above THANKS!!
Remove everything connected to the head and then worry about the Torque specs-- Ohh and find some ARP Head bolts they are around 50-75 bucks on ebay!! Or ask Mafix for some!
what about things that are mounted 2 hte head and somewhere else? there is a small pipe on the right of the head and things like taht have 2 be removed im guessing so anything that needs 2 be removed?
Thats the EGR Valve just unblot that from the head also- Just take everything off- and just remember where it all goes back to- thats where 2 different color tapes come in to play!
hey ive got the head almost off all bolts off, exhaust manifold off, timing belt off, rad hose off, 60% of wiring off, but there is somehting lyk still structurally holding it on. it should be able 2 come off but still be held on by wires and lines etc but it should coem off right? there is lyk a mount or something of such holding it on! AND I DONT NO WHAT IT IS HELP!!!
