I know i have asked about oil leaks before, like 5 times. so sorry to bring it up again, but alas i am an uneducated soul who seeks knowledge from those of you who may possess it. anyways i cleaned up the engine bay a little this weekend and found old caked on layers of oil on top of my tranny located underneath the battery and air box. now i am aware of a dizzy plug leak, i cleaned up as best i could around the dizzy cap, and the housing. however, i don't think that leak is the only one on that side of the engine. i found only older oil which turned into a lovely paste and settled for lord knows how long. so i am wondering what else is on that side that could have possibly leaked out and to maybe watch for in the future. my next question is what could be leaking underneath the alternator? it too is caked on from years of possible neglect by previous owners. anyways thanks for listening and have a nice day! :mrgreen: p.s. i will post pics of the caked on goodness and what i have attempted to clean up of it tomorrow.
Yeah, did you already use a pressure washer and some degreaser? Will really help locating sources of leaks.
