1987 Celica Gt convertible, 5-speed.SC

Discussion in 'Cars for Sale' started by crazypunkerguy, Dec 27, 2011.

  1. 1987 Toyota Celica GT convertible for sale. It's a 5-speed with 155k. The body is in very good shape no rust other then some surface on the back top trim rings. I have had most of the interior out of the car checking for rust and it is super clean with the exception of the muffler which is rusted out. It runs and drives pretty good but breaks up a little up top. Normal driving it is running very smooth. I am going to do plugs and a fuel filter soon. The top has a very small rip in it. The interior is in pretty good shape for an 87. The headlights both work. Power windows and locks as well as cruise. The top pump needs to be rebuilt. I bought this as a commuter but ended up trading my truck for something nicer then this. It needs a battery as well, I can borrow the one from my other car or jump box it for test drives. I just did the master cylinder the car brakes very well. The clutch grabs nice as well. It has newer tires on it. No large dents or dings. With very little work and a buff this would be one very nice car. I am asking $1500 obo will also consider Mazda's, 4 cyl campers (chinook and such) or a 91-96 Ford Escort wagon/GT. All must be 5-speed and pretty rust free. Thanks for reading and enjoy your day!

Why no engine pics................. Of course it's needs a new roof and a solid detail and full servicing but otherwise it's prolly a reasonable deal.

Good interior and of course it's faded but there are some good products for restoring colours on seats and panels etc.................... not to mention plasti dip/spray :fingersx

looks good as a project car indeed, but for the work I hear (engine, top including pumps, paint/rust, interior) I guess 1500 is too much.
