Since you have the lightest frame if you do ever end up swapping a 3sgte in there it would be pretty friggin quick!

yeah i have thought about swapping for a 3s-gte in the near future. and i'll let ya guys in on a lil info about my celica... 210,000 mi on the engine. its a toyota and it should run for the next couple years but i realize that its not in tip top shape and i need to swap it soon. and a 3s-gte would be my first choice. my brother was telling me something about crate motors? i think thats what he called them? something about japan not letting engines get over like 100,000 km then swapping the engines and sending them to the u.s. Do you guys have any more info for me or tips or anything about this motor??? i know im talkin a lot. but im into my celica, ya hear? =]

over in Japan if a car is over 5 years (?) old they have to do shit toones of stuff to keep it emissions legal and such, so a lot of the cars just get stored and sit there, get sent to junk yards, or torn apart and sold for pieces.

well it really bout how much money u willing to spend n wat u into. If u wanna do that motor swap everybody say, it should be fun but could get pricey wit lotta labor, blood sweat n tears, but since it a project u can expect lotta that anyway, otherwise it wouldnt be a project. Since i have a ST coupe, only thing worth doing (if even that) was to do all show n lil go. I dont have the money nor time now to work on performance/swapping n watnot. For a GT, u could alwayz alwayz do audio/visual things to it.

Wat i highly recommend is not doing both audio/show and performance wit this car. Keep it either or

okay thanks. and yeah the motor swap would only be a last resort, if the current motor breaks down :?. but i think for now this will be a show car. problem is i need to find some places to show it off at near the tacoma/seattle area. my driveway isnt quite cutting it :)

i mean u dont need to take it to shows, ive never entered my car into a show. Jus havin a unique car n gettin all tha reactions i get while driving it good enuf for me. n all tha sound i got is exclusively for me, if peeps happen to hear it, well jus lettin em in tha show
