On my old celica (89 gt-s) It had a four wire o2 sensor on the down pipe, near the bottom by the crossmember.

86 and 87 had the o2 sensor just off the manifold....in the heat shield

88 and 89 have it down below near the flex pipe

How do you know if you have a jdm or a usdm? lol the only thing I really know about my engine is that its a 3SGE

well the JDM engine has only 1 vacuum line off the top of the throttle body, USDM has 3. there is an EGR pipe running off of the USDM manifold back towards the firewall, whereas the JDM doesn't have one. the 86-87 USDM's had a one wire O2 sensor, as did all the JDM ones. The 88-89 USDM's had a 4 wire O2

EGR is how you know what motor you have. if you have it it's a USDM if not it's JDM.
