I bought a complete 20v head for $50 this week, the seller is refusing to hand it over
as he wants $160, but put up a $1 reserve? Anyway we'll see what happens.

Let me know if I can help
There are a few 100 000k items here for sale around US$2000. Shipping would add another $300-500, but I'm not sure

I believe Redrokt01 (Kevin) has some over there, have you checked with him?

right now, I'm buying replacement parts such as the Timing Belt, Aux Belts, Water Pump, Clutch. As well as a SARD sports intake. fingersx

Also are the 3S-GTE engine mounts the same as the 3S-GE since i was
planning on getting the polyurethane engine mounts from Two R Us for the st165...but I'm not
sure if they will fit....anybody body can help me with this :?:
    AND
Where is the best place to find a Clutch for the BEAMS 3S? I've been looking around and I might just special order it from the dealership.

There are some turboed BEAMS-es, but the best is a guy in Australia who supercharged his RedTop BEAMS. And he did it so anal and so much into details that you just cannot believe it. Engineered and machined every part customly, lots of brackets to hold even smallest parts. The result is a) a real sleeper, b) noone who doesn't know these engines can tell that it's not OEM by looking at it. That guy is a freak :) (oh, his car is an SW20)

    (sorry for going off-topic)

I know exactly who you are talking about Lion. Most of the info about the BEAMS is on the mr2 forums since not only was the BEAMS engine available on the 6th gen Celica (st202) SS-II and SS-III but also the MR2 (SW20) G and G Limited. Most people would just try to get a 3rd gen 3sgte but some take on the task of turboing a 4th gen BEAMS 3sge and it comes out very nice.

Yea Definitely. Revving wise almost the same as the original except for two differences 1) the power that it produces with the use of vvti. Comparing 130 hp or less because of the age of 1st gen 3sge to 200 hp or less because of the age and lower octane count available in cali. 2) the jump in torque of 155 Ft lb and how it gradually increase as you go higher in the rev range.

Lol You know if I had time and money like that guy, I'd probably be anal about my engine as well haha. You gotta be it's your own creation and expression! Just like how I'm anal about wheels lol.

Anyway, I can't believe I've never heard about the BEAMS before. I think

    Wow, awesome work so far.

How much did the custom Tweak'd wiring harness cost you?

Yea thanks man. I like your car as well. I seen many "stanced"cars in the bay area ranging from Bimmers to Gs but never a st162 and I have to say that car looks awesome especially with the rim selection.

Yea the custom Tweak'd harness was about 750 but it was literally plug and play when I got it back. They did an awesome job on it.

    Thanks man.

I am actually highly considering this swap as well.

Do you have a write-up on this swap by chance?

I really wanna do all research necessary and any and all information will be helpful for I will be doing the swap myself.

I know the wiring harness I won't be able to do, but I'm pretty sure there's more to that, the engine/tranny, ecu and axles.

    Thanks in advance.

Well best place for info on the BEAMS is MR2.com. They have a section specifically for the BEAMS.
This website will lead you to it. http://www.beams-redtop.com/

There's a lot of info in there as well as a Parts section.
I have a thread in there with a bit of info.

Here's a couple of things you will need though:

    4th gen celica GE axles
5th gen celica engine covers for the bottom (Your oil filter will be exposed and could be ripped off if you don't have protection for it)
    6th gen celica 5sfe stage 1 or 2 clutch kit ( I got clutchmasters fx100 clutch kit)
6th gen celica 3sge B-pipe (That will be explained on the website)
6th gen celica exhaust gaskets (5sfe that was sold here has one but buy two of them)
6th gen celica 5sfe w/o cruise control throttle cable
New water pump, Timing belt, MAF (if it doesn't come with engine)
You might have to purchase an intake kit (I got a SARD short ram intake kit since my engine didn't come with the stock box)
    New vacuum hoses
New Engine Oil and Filter (I use 5W30 mobil 1 and the filter is the same used in the 1st gen 3sge)
New Tranny Oil (I use Redline MT-90)
    New Slim Cooling fans

I got my engine from ebay so make sure you get one with an uncut wiring harness and 5 speed with LSD
