I just got my car back with a gen3 3sgte swap and its running pretty good. My only problem is that i have a cooling problem. Im using the stock radiator from the st162 3sge. Is this my problem and should i upgrade radiators?
    Cheers,
    Jamie

I wouldn't be so sure...the 162 rad is pretty stout, and I would only expect it to become an issue on track. What cooling problems are you having? Is coolant circulating correctly?

if the rad was brand new out of the box, i may agree with you. but after 20 years of crap build up... im sure its not flowing as good as it can.

Also the turbo takes some cooling, and its a big heat source in front of the rad.
Even stock brand new its not great, Give the boost a tickle upwards and look to drive it hard and its a real good idea to look towards a better rad. The ASI rads from china are supposed to be fine, I know they struggle on cars running close to 400bhp, but for a bang for buck replacement of standard they are good value.
Should be on ebay for a fair price.

any rad that can flow the same volume for that engine will work. i suggest find an all aluminum one. there are many brands out there. and you dont need a "165 specfic" rad. if you find one that fits your needs. and it wont fit. MAKE it fit.

GTE motors need a 2 core radiator. there are a ton of options out there. koyo, asi, stock 185 or 165, ect. but no NA radiator is 2 core.
