How much Paint?

    LOL. Gf's dad has said I can use his compressor, so the leeka is gettin sprayed properly haha. Definitely going white, will be accompanied by white wheels when I need tyres. WHich is soon.

    How much will i need to do the whole car though!?

    Also, how hard is the prep? Like makiing sure panels are straight, repairing dents etc?

    A gallon is usually enough, for both the "real" (dupont) car paint and the tremclad (crappy rust paint) I have used.

    The prep is the hard part. Painting takes very little time but the prep work can seem to take forever. There aren't any real shortcuts to take if you want a resonable result from all your hard work.

    Some things I might suggest:

    -many thin coats, not one or two thick ones

    -use a halogen light and shine it down the length of the car - the dents and imperfections will be very visible as shadows

    -avoid using too much body filler - it looks good at first, but it always cracks eventually
